The biggest problem with Once Upon a Time In Mexico is that it didn't have a full wrap around story. If you were someone who liked Johnny Depp but not Antonio Banderas then you wouldn't have seen Desperado but would have watched OUATIM and you wouldn't have really understood a damn thing going on except for there's a lot of blood, lot of guns, and a mexican jumping bean that falls off a table. Seriously.

Ali, honestly I would have preferred Nicolas Cage as Superman over this Brandon Ruth guy. If you blend Nic from Face/Off with Nic from Leaving Las Vegas then you've basically got a well balanced Clark Kent. And we've seen them give Sean Connery real looking hair so they can give it to Cage too! And Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor... that's almost as bad as Berry as Catwoman. Next Up: Leonardo DiCaprio and Alicia Silverstone star in the live action comic thriller: Plastic Man.

And did anyone notice that there's a comic book of Constantine?????

have spoken about this movie before.

as for nicholas cage... no fn way!!!!! he just
doesn't have the look of kent/superman. now
granted, i'll give ya that routh looks like a
moron... but at least he will be wearing contacts
(which makes me wonder if he will be looking
even more stupid)

i dunno... you already know how i feel. i really
dislike the 'younger' looking superman figures.
they need some big-assed football player looking
dude that is way older and matured....

No matter what they do with Superman at this point in time, it will suck. At least Smallville got that and went with Young Kent and his Tell Me The Truth! (Furrow Your Brow) Lana Lang.

I went back through some old Comic Movies today and found a great one, probably the best... Batman, Mask of the Phantasm... Animated just works.

i didn't care too much for that animated flick.
i prefer batman beyond... as i think its pretty
kickass. (gosh, i've used the term 'kickass'
alot in this thread)

anyways... yeah... i'm down with batman beyond [img]tongue.gif[/img]
i love the animation art... and seriously, i think
i could watch the intro to that series over and
over... its pretty slick

I like Beyond, and I know it's Terry not Bruce, but can't that little shit shut up for five minutes so as not to alert everyone to where he is and what he's doing? Quiet has always been essential in the Batman World... unless you're The Joker.

i liked the whole idea that batman was 'passing
on' his 'role'.... i also like the terry
character, but i agree he kinda has too much
teen in him to be very effective. i do like
his 'lets just kick their ass' attitude cuz i
like the idea of bruce wayne being the 'conscience'.

even for an old guy, at least bruce can still
kick ass if he has too.

what i DON'T like about batman beyond... is the
ridiculous girlfriend shit added in. i guess its
a bit like clark and lana... stupid additives
to appeal to more girlie females to get viewers.
(and similiarly to chloe's character in smallville,
i prefer chelsea over dana in batman beyond)

Have you managed to catch the newest cartoon version of Batman titled... you're not ready for this... okay now you are... The Batman! Bruce Wayne has a cheesy triangle jaw instead of the big broad square one and he answers The Bat Wave and has a little hand held computer looking thing with a big Bat on it that flashes and makes noise to let him know when Batman's needed. But other than that it's actually kinda nifty.
